Why families choose the Journey Experience?
Many families choose the Journey Experience to document not only their baby's arrival, but the connection that begins long before.
Planning both sessions together ensures your newborn session is gently reserved around your due date, creating a relaxed and reassuring experience for your growing family.
When should I book?
The Journey Experience can be reserved anytime after your 12-week scan, allowing plenty of time to plan your maternity session comfortably.
Maternity sessions are usually photographed between 30-35 weeks, when your bump is beautifully defined but you are still feeling relaxed and comfortable.
Your newborn session date is then gently held around your due date and confirmed once your baby arrives, ensuring space is reserved for you during those first early weeks together.
Only a limited number of Journey Experience reservations are available each month, many families choose to secure their sessions during the second trimester.
A £50 session retainer secures your booking, with the remaining balance due on the day of your maternity session.
